Transport operators staged a massive protest in Half Way Tree, St Andrew in September to call for a ticket amnesty.

Transport Minister, Audley Shaw later gave a commitment that the issues which led to protest would be considered

But a member of the One Voice Transport Association, Tiganna Madden says the operators are yet to hear from the government about an amnesty “There are persons out there who are willing to pay but thy cannot find all the money at once, so if you could give them that amnesty over a period of time..you will see where it is benefitting you.”

Mr Madden says the transport associations are committed to a peaceful protest “We’re going to let our voices be heard peacefully, just like the other day we had a peaceful demonstration.”
